1 Dear Members Back in the summer of 2012 when Victoria Sewells grandchildren were attending Summer Camp here at the Museum Victoria spoke with our senior curator Jenine Culligan about the Alice Collection she and her husband Byron Sewell had. She indicated that 2015 was the 150th anniversary of the publication of Alices Adventures in Wonderland and that they would be willing to share their collection with the Museum. So Alice 150 Selections from the Lewis Carroll Collection of Victoria J. Sewell was born. It was such a nice surprise to find out about their collection and for the Museum to become a part of the celebration of a book with which everyone is familiar. Huntington Museum of Art is very excited to be a part of the 150th Anniversary of the publication of Lewis Carrolls Alices Adventures in Wonderland by sharing the Sewells collection with Alice fans all over the Tri-State region. For more about this exciting exhibit and the programs and events planned by Museum staff members please see Page 6.
