HIMG Presents The Music of the Night A Museum Ball Masquerade took place on February 21 2015 and was a smashing success The event was sold out and the fundraising goal was not just met but exceed- ed A big THANK YOU goes to all who attended and contributed to the success HMA is happy to take this opportunity to highlight and thank the 2015 Museum Ball Co-Hosts for their hard work and dedication. We couldnt have done it without them Kevin Fowler originally from Plattsburg N.Y. and Karen Fowler from Lex- ington N.C. have moved several times throughout their 30 years of marriage. The Fowlers said they be- lieve West Virginia has the most welcoming people and decided to make it their home 11 years ago when they moved to Logan. They relocated to Huntington last year and said theyre thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful city surrounded by people who take such pride in their community. Their daughter is a Mar- shall graduate who lives in Huntington and they said moving here brought them home. Kevin is the CEO of Cabell Huntington Hospital and Karen is very active in the lives of her husband and children. The Fowlers said they love what the Museum has to offer to the community especially through the educa- tional opportunities and activities HMA provides to children throughout our region. Giving back to our community has always been important to us they said. After discovering the amazing work the Huntington Museum of Art does for our community we jumped on the chance to work alongside a great team. We are thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful event that supports such an amazing organization. Sean Corky Hammers and Beth Buffy Ham- mers are both from the Tri-State area. Corky is from Barboursville and Buffy is from Ironton Ohio. The Hammers now live with their family in Barboursville. They love living in the Tri-State area surrounded by family and friends. The community is the perfect size to make a difference and they work to make a positive impact Corky as the Prosecutor for Cabell County and Buffy as the Executive Director for Marshall Health. The Huntington Museum of Art is one of the great- est assets that Huntington has to offer the Hammers said. Whether its providing a piece of history or expos- ing us to other cultures the Museum enriches our com- munity and inspires people of all ages.
