Depth of Feeling: Photographic Images from the Permanent Collection

​In conjunction with Community Trust and Investment Company Presents Vanishing Points: Revisiting America’s Indigenous Landscape, the Huntington Museum of Art will present an exhibit of photography from its permanent collection. Depth of Feeling: Photographic Images from the Permanent Collection runs from March 11 through July 2, 2023. This exhibit will feature photographs by Carrie Mae Weems and Sandy Skoglund, among others.

“We are pleased to present a wide-ranging group of photographic images from our permanent collection in this exhibit,” said HMA Senior Curator/Exhibition Designer John Farley. “ ‘Depth of Feeling’ features more than 25 works curated from our holdings, including highlights by artists such as Ansel Adams, Romare Bearden, Willie Cole, Jerry Uelsmann, and Maggie Taylor.”

This exhibit is presented with support from The Isabelle Gwynn and Robert Daine Exhibition Endowment.

This program is presented with financial assistance from the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History, and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.
