Contact: (304) 529-2701

A guided tour of the exhibit titled Jack and Angie Bourdelais Present San Quentin Project will be offered during the March Tuesday Tour at the Huntington Museum of Art on March 28, 2017, at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served. This is a Macy's Free Tuesday event.

For this exhibition, which continues at HMA through May 28, 11 artists were invited to use the imagery and information in San Quentin record books as a starting place for the creation of artworks for the show.  Topics could range from a general statement on imprisonment to a visualization of specific individuals who populated San Quentin Prison many decades ago.  The exhibit showcases a variety of media, from painting and drawing to ceramics and photography. The exhibition includes an accompanying catalog, which is available for purchase in the Museum Shop.

"This has been a popular exhibit at the Huntington Museum of Art and a great way to feature the work of regional artists," said Geoffrey K. Fleming, HMA Executive Director.

The Tuesday Tour series at the Huntington Museum of Art takes place on the fourth Tuesday of each month and includes guest speakers, guided tours of exhibits, or other programs. For more information on events at HMA, visit www.hmoa.org or call (304) 529-2701. HMA is fully accessible.
