HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Sheila Redling will sign copies and have a brief reading from her new book, “Damocles,” at the Huntington Museum of Art’s Museum Shop at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 9.
“Damocles” follows a group of humans as they travel through space and make contact with an extraterrestrial planet, which has a different language and look, but strikingly similar society to Earth’s. Admission to this event is free, and refreshments will be served.
Redling is a graduate of Georgetown University, and hosted the morning program on WKEE-FM in Huntington for 15 years.
In 2011, Redling decided to pursue writing full time. Under the name S.G. Redling, her first book, “Flowertown,” was published in June 2012. It sold more than 50,000 copies in its first six weeks.
Redling’s third book, “The Widow File,” is set for release in November, and she is currently working on its sequel.
