Hot Cocoa Hike | February 24, 2018, at 10 a.m.

The Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District and the Huntington Museum of Art are teaming up for the Hot Cocoa Hike on February 24, 2018, at 10 a.m. on the HMA Nature Trails. Following a hike of about two miles, hot cocoa and a nature-based craft will be offered. This is a free event. February Tuesday Tour | February 27, 2018, at 7 p.m.

The February 2018 Tuesday Tour on February 27, 2018, at 7 p.m. will include an interactive mystery game taking place throughout the Museum and a book signing with Michael Connick. Connick’s “Afghan Mirrors” is the third and final entry in a series of Cold War historical spy novels. “Afghan Mirrors” is published by CreateSpace, an Amazon Company. The Museum Shop will have copies of all of Connick’s books available for sale, with all profits from the sales of Connick’s books going to HMA. The February 2018 Tuesday Tour is a Macy’s Free Tuesday event. Refreshments will be served.



Artstream Nomadic Gallery | March 9, 10 and 11, 2018

The Artstream Nomadic Gallery is a traveling exhibition space housed in a restored 1967 Airstream trailer. Artwork by various ceramic artists in the Artstream is for sale. The Artstream Nomadic Gallery will visit the Huntington Museum of Art on March 9, 2018, and Pullman Square in downtown Huntington on March 10 and 11, 2018. The Artstream Nomadic Gallery strives to place contemporary studio pottery into the hands and homes of the public, and has made stops in more than 300 locations across the country from New York City to Los Angeles, Houston to Minneapolis. The Artstream Nomadic Gallery has been putting contemporary studio pottery on the street for years. Based in Carbondale, CO, and founded in 2002 by past Walter Gropius Master Artist, Alleghany Meadows, the Artstream has exhibited work by more than 125 national, international, and emerging ceramic artists. An exhibition featuring 26 artists, 13 of whom are past visiting artists at the museum, will be on display at the Huntington Museum of Art from February 24, 2018, through May 20, 2018.  



Public Presentation | March 9, 2018, at 7 p.m.

Ceramic artist Andy Brayman will speak at HMA about his work on March 9, 2018, at 7 p.m. Admission to this Walter Gropius Master Artist Public Presentation is free.

Artist Barbara Takenaga will speak at HMA about her work on May 17, 2018, at 7 p.m. Admission is free to this Walter Gropius Master Artist Public Presentation.
