MUSIC AT THE MUSEUM
The Music at the Museum Series was founded in 2000 through the efforts of the Huntington Museum of Art, Janet Ensign Bromley, and the Marshall University Music Department. In 2002, the Museum instituted a residency naming Victoria Bragin as its first Music Artist-in-Residence with the responsibility of performing as well as operating the Series. In 2006, she was succeeded by Dr. Donald A. Williams. The purpose of Music at the Museum is to provide to the community excellence in musical performance, a performance venue for musicians and composers, and to provide children the opportunity to experience the transcendent joy of music.
All concerts take place in Grace Rardin Doherty Auditorium. Admission is free.

Marissa Regni
Guest Artist at Saturday KidsArt
April 10, 2010, at 1 p.m. in Studio 5Marissa Regni is Principal Second Violinist of the National Symphony Orchestra. Before coming to Washington, D.C., she was a member of the Saint Louis Symphony, where she served as assistant principal second violin. She is a member of the critically acclaimed Manchester String Quartet, and was a founding member of the Kennedy Center Chamber Players. Ms. Regni has made solo and chamber music appearances throughout the United States, Germany, and Mexico. Solo appearances with orchestra include the St. Louis Symphony, National Symphony Orchestra, Virginia Chamber Orchestra, Livingston (New Jersey) Symphony and the Ridgewood (New Jersey) Symphony. Ms. Regni has been a featured artist on National Public Radio and The MacNeil/Lehrer Report.
Most recently, Ms. Regni created a series of children’s concerts with harpist Dotian Levalier. Titled “Tunes ‘n’ Tales” and “More Tunes n Tales”, these programs are designed for children ages three to five.
A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, Ms. Regni received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and was awarded the School’s prestigious Performer’s Certificate in Violin. She also has a diploma from the Juilliard School of Music, where she was a student in the Pre-College Division.
