---POTTERY CLASS FOR ADULTS
Hand Building and Wheel Throwing for Adults with instructor Kathleen Kneafsey meets on Mondays from 6 to 8 p.m. for six sessions beginning June 16 and running through July 21 at the Huntington Museum of Art in Studio 4.
Cost is $125 for Members and $150 for non-Members. A variety of methods are used to create functional and sculptural pieces. Surface decoration and glazing techniques will also be explored. All levels welcome.

S U M M E R C A M P 2010
ENJOY THE SURPRISES OF ART, THE EXCITEMENT OF THEATER AND THE WONDERS OF NATURE
Each camp runs Monday through Friday 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Registration fee per child: $100 for members, $120 for non-members per week.
Camp enrollment must be completed 1 week prior to camp beginning
Extended morning hours are 8-9 a.m., extended afternoon hours are 3-5 p.m.
Registration fee for extended hours per child per camp for pre-camp is $15 per week; post camp $20 per week; or pre and post camp for $30 per week
Campers need to bring their own lunches, drinks, and snacks.
NO refunds for cancellations.

Art CampChildren’s imaginations will soar and self-expression will abound during art camp. Under the direction of qualified and experienced teachers, campers will be inspired and challenged with their art making. Painting, drawing, clay and more will enlighten hearts and spark creativity. Campers will be divided into age appropriate groups:
K-1st, 2nd - 3rd, 4th-5th.
Elementary Art Camp
Week I: July 12-16
Week II: July 19-23Middle School/High School Clay Camp
Let’s get messy! During this workshop we will get our hands dirty using our imaginations, centuries old techniques, and MUD!!! Since clay can be the most versatile and fundamentally diverse medium to explore, we will incorporate a wide variety of techniques including hand-building, wheel throwing, surface design and firing techniques. By using these methods we will take an exciting journey that will unfold personal interpretations of clay through sculpture, jewelry, functional forms and more.
June 21-25, June 28-July 2 (2 weeks, must attend both weeks), grades 6-12Theater Camp
Campers will be immersed in the creative world of theatrics. Actor/Playwright Jonathan Joy will lead students in theatre activities that emphasize the tools of the actor: imagination, cooperation, concentration, body, voice and expression. Performance opportunities abound! All students will write, direct and perform in their own plays. Students will also develop hands-on experiences with behind-the-scene activities such as lighting, sound, scenery and props. They will market their plays with poster designs and press releases. On the last day of each camp, a performance of selected works will be open to the public.

July 26-30, grades 5-7Nature Camp
Let your child’s curiosity for nature and the environment blossom. Campers will explore the Museum’s trails and creeks to observe the plants and animals native to this region. These discoveries, combined with hands-on lab activities, will provide campers with a lifelong appreciation for our local outdoors.
Week I: July 26-30, grades 3-6
Week II: August 2-6, grades 3-6Pitter Patter Art (must be accompanied by parent or caregiver)
Ages 18 months through Pre-K
Sensory art materials and interactive multimedia based art allow exploration of shape, texture and color while creating memories together. Lapsit stories and games will begin each class and daily theme.
